As you may have heard, three months ago, Patreon began deleting developer accounts without any due process, and I was caught in the crossfire.
At the time of deletion, the account was 10 years old and had released three game projects, all +18 characters and consensual BDSM tagged. They couldn’t explain why exactly Zuleyka Games account was deleted, only sending a standard template response.
Fortunately, we had wisely stored all the content in the Patrons Club on our website in anticipation of such madness from Patreon as we’ve gotten many times, but the account deletion led to unfairness toward all our patrons.
Patreon, of course, refunded all the money from the last month back to subscribers, but we had our own loyalty program in place. Every subscriber who donated more than $199 over time gained unlimited lifetime access to Patron Club tiers, even if they canceled their subscription.
Thanks to this betrayal from Patreon, this is now technically impossible, as the account deletion disrupts the entire authorization chain with the site. We are unable to provide the unlimited access that our loyal patrons deserve.
I find this extremely unfair to our patrons, and we sincerely apologize!
Fortunately, after three months, the Trust & Safety team was able to make a couple of clicks and send us the email list of patrons that we had requested.
In the coming month, after the release of Wonder Slave 0.8, we will send a newsletter (which I’ve been working on for the past three months) to this list with a small bonus:

I hope this will help at least partially correct the injustice toward our subscribers caused by Patreon’s erratic actions.
In the future, we aim to create a fair system that will allow us to restore lost access to those who have supported us generously over the years and protect ourselves from the unpredictable decisions of big corporations.
